Not as good as before
I have been buying these pillow for ages and have noticed them begin to feel firmer and firmer and so not so comfortable. I found a pair of the very same pillows in the loft and - sure enough - these were softer, more comfortable and the cover was so soft. What a pity they have changed them, but it seems to be inevitable - I guess its something to do with producing them more cheaply. These are the medium/soft ones.

You do not need to use pillow protectors on these Silentnight Anti-Allergy Medium/ Soft Pillows as they are machine washable at 40 deg C and can be tumble dried.

Mine were ok the first two times I washed them. After the third wash (and a couple of years of usage) they became quite lumpy though...
I can confirm the pillows can be washed and will regain shape.
These pillows should be washed a 40 degrees.
