A simple solution to the ultimate grilling question, Gas or Charcoal? Enjoy both with our Gas2Coal hybrid grill. Simply light the charcoal with the gas burners, no lighter fluid is required. Three main burners with solid cast iron grates give you lot's of room to barbecue for your friends and family. One stainless steel side burner gives you the opportunity to make gravy or prepare vegetables. One side shelf allows storage of tools or other accessories. The temperature gauge is lid-mounted and two wheels ensure an easy mobility.
In less than 60 seconds, it can be converted from a gas barbecue to a charcoal barbecue without the use of any tools.
Coated cast iron grates for greater heat retention and perfect sear strip marks. The grates are durable, rust-resistant and easy to clean.

The option of cooking with gas or charcoal !
I have been looking for a decent bbq for a while now in the past I have had both a gas and charcoal one but this bbq gives me both options if I feel like a quick midweek bbq use gas if I have a weekend bbq with friends use charcoal and the ability to light the charcoal with the gas burner’s stops the need for messing around with fire lighters. I had no problems with assembling but I will say to any one just take your time I found the charbroil app more useful than the instruction booklet overall cannot fault it

Really is best of both worlds!
We’ve been to Florida and used Char-broil gas bbqs there. Alway rated them. Then I say them starting to appear in the UK and they launched the Gas2coal I thought it was a great idea! I loved my old charcoal BBQs and the wait for it to be ready! Time for a drink and catch up with friends/family. Gas came along and although super convenient I still found myself leaving to heat up probably wasting loads of gas in the process. With this Gas2Coal Char-Broil you use the gas to light the charcoal then turn it off and cook over the hot charcoal. Ingenious! Good build quality although it does take a good 1-1.5h to build it. Make sure you look up the Char-Broil app it has full build instructions which are way better than the picture only paper manual. Just need some good weather now!!

Regarding the Char-Broil 3 Burner Gas and Charcoal BBQ.
Cylinder Placement
Cylinders of 6 kg or less may be placed on the ground under the side shelf or inside the appliance in place provided. Larger cylinders are to be placed under side shelf or behind the barbecue only. Cylinders placed in the appliance shall have a maximum diameter of 345mm and maximum height including attached regulator of 430 mm.

The supplier has advised the following for the Char-Broil 3 Burner Gas and Charcoal BBQ:
"It wouldn’t work using lava stones. These will cool of too quickly after you turn of the gas, so they can’t replace charcoal in this matter."

After speaking with our supplier: ''Char-Broil recommend using propane gas and all our gas grills include this regulator free. You should only store the gas canister in the cart when the gas is not in use as it could be dangerous otherwise. Please refer to the manual for appropriate position when in use.
The clearance is 47cm so it will fit a 5 kg patio gas bottle.''
