Does it's job as a sun shade
Overall very good, gives a good amount of shade, excellent quality, should come with the base weights though as it's no good without them, picture shouldn't have it showing a weight plate as it's a bit deceiving.

Sturdy parasol but needs something heavy to weight it down ,we used it all last summer and very happy with it provides good cover from the sun

Perfect for a sunny day/night
I bought this to use on my terrace as the sun poured in through the windows and warmed my living room up enough to be uncomfortable. Once I started using this, the temperature dropped more than enough, to make things much more comfortable. Thanks for getting in touch with us, Please follow these steps.
First, unlock the parasol by releasing the locking handle on the side of the main pole. Then, slide the securing collar up to allow the support arm to move freely.
Next, wind the canopy closed by turning the crank handle in the opposite direction to the one used to open it. Finally, secure the parasol by pushing the locking handle back towards the pole, ensuring it's locked in place.

To return the Parasol to an upright position, you'll need to reverse the actions taken to open it. First, unlock the parasol by releasing the locking handle on the side of the main pole. I'm sorry but the parasol in the Home 2.5m Overhanging Garden Parasol - Black is not currently available as a spare part, even then it would not just be the fabric but the parasol including the mechanism as well which forms by far the major part of the item itself.
