Lovely Clock
I wanted a pretty clock for my conservatory and this is just right. Lovely lilac colour - not too mauve - an elegant size with a clear clock face. Excellent value too.

Lovely old style lilac mantle clock
Lovely lilac old style mantle clock. I bought mine though to go in a bedroom my grandchildren stay in. They'll be able to learn to read the time with it too as the numbers and digits are clear enough. Uses 1 AA battery which is not supplied. Back is standard open back digital fitting, a shame not covered hence 1* lost. If there was a con though I'd say it would have been nice to have an alarm that could be set but its nice though even without and I don't really need it at the moment. And just one last thing about service, please stop making people trek miles to obtain items from Argos at other stores, surely you could transfer to a nearer store?? I had to go to Glossop 25 miles away for this, as was nearest place stocked.

Lovely looking clock - cheap too as it was reduced
I love the clock and so far it has kept perfect time. The lilac is very soft and it's on my desk so that I can keep an eye on the time as I do tend to get absorbed with my work. Although it's made from some kind of moulded plastic it does look more like it's made of wood as it's so well made.

Having checked I can see this has a quartz movement meaning they are not totally “tickless” because the movement does make a ticking sound, but it is so quiet most cannot hear it.
