Followed absolutely to the manufacturers care instructions. Washed before use. Cotton cover shrunk to 85cm width. Bought two of these single mattress protectors, washed individually and both cotton covers shrunk.polyester skirt okay.

The Slumberdown Cotton Comfort Mattress Protector - Single, has side skirts for mattress's up to 30cm, however this means stretched to 30cm, therefore this would be suitable for a mattress of 16cm depth, any excess can be tucked underneath the mattress.

"Yes, there is no reason why you couldn’t use the product over the top of an electric blanket. We usually say, a protector should go on first as this is designed to protector you mattress giving it a longer life. Then your electric blanket goes on top, finally your fitted bed sheet."
(We'd also advise that you check the electric blanket’s specs too so as to be sure that it’s safe to use with a blanket of this type before considering its use).
