The Silentnight Heat Genie, Self-Heating Mattress Topper features a unique heat reflecting foil combined with a thermal lining and deeply filled quilted top layer to add up to 7.5 tog of extra warmth to your bed. The foil lining helps retains warmth, keeping your bed cosy and warm without the need for electricity, this helps you save money on heating bills. The elasticated straps make this topper easy to fit over your current mattress. The topper is also machine washable which means you can keep your topper feeling fresh and clean for longer.

Great mattress topper
I didn't think this would work, but it's perfect for helping keep the bed warm. You don't need to use any electricity so there aren't any annoying wires sticking into you, and it's really comfy and soft. Plus it fits perfectly into the washing machine

Put on bed didn't notice any difference in heat got into bed expecting some form of warmth but there wasn't any I went next day to buy electric blanket from an other store so yes disappointed in the heat genie waste of money....

An electric blanket can be used but only underneath this topper. They also recommend turning it on a low heat once it's reached a high enough temperature. The topper is designed to reflect heat upwards.

The polyester outer cover and hollowfibre filling are inherently flame-retardant materials that pass UK regulations without needing any flame-retardant chemical.
Filling on Toppers flame-retardant only. The label should confirm the following: All fillings in this product meet the furniture & furnishings (fire) (safety) regulations.

“ An electric blanket may be used with this topper however it should be used with more care as the topper will reflect the heat back quicker than a standard topper therefore a reduce warm up time on high settings in recommended. The topper must be on the bottom and not on top of the electric blanket. ”
