A good buy
I bought this recently and I am very pleased with it. It has a good amount of hanging space, and folds up neatly.

Hang ‘em dry
Bought this because of the robustness of the item, plus a 5 year guarantee. Black should not show up the wear on the bars.

Well made and finished. Takes the weight of the clothes so should last ok.

A perfect airer for busy families
I am very satisfied with the purchase. It has proved to be worth spending that bit more than I intended. When folded down it is narrow and compact. Super easy to open and operate and the fact the the 'wings' can be adjusted to need and preference is ideal.

Sturdy and well-made.
I bought this because I finally lost patience with my previous drier, which used to collapse on the floor if I even looked at it critically. The great advantage of the Brabantia drier is that it is sturdy. I haven't had it long enough to be certain, but the joints feel strong and well-made, and the paint enamel doesn't look as if it's going to start peeling any time soon - both points of weakness in much of the competition. If I were looking to improve the design - I'd like this to be a few inches higher and also wider - with another transversal support or maybe two on the legs. And if the horizontal 'tray' was a little lower down it would be bigger, useful for drying woollens that are supposed to dry flat - and might help stability in an outside wind. I'll buy another if you make a variant with these changes - but in the meantime, this is good!

Laundry Air Dryer
As ever, Brabantia have made a quality product. Strong and sturdy. Practical. Easy to use and store. Quality paint finish too. Overall a robust product. Wouldn’t use any other manufacturer for my laundry drying system.

This clothes airer does not use electricity to dry laundry, as far as I can tell .... but after loading it could be placed in front of a radiator to speed up drying time.
Hi Pensioner,
The Brabantia Black HangOn Drying Rack, if using it for 2 hours of drying per day, the energy consumption would be 2 kWh. The cost per day would be approximately £0.28.
But overall, using a drying rack like this is more energy-efficient and cost-effective compared to electric tumble dryers.
