Rubbish
1 star is even too high for this. First use leaked water everywhere where it didn’t seal properly when screwed together, and also the coffee receptacle doesn’t fit well and wouldn’t come out after it expanded so item will be going back. Will buy a more premium one next time

A classic coffee maker
Have used this a couple of times as only just purchased. Having read online that coffee is brewed quicker if filled with hot water I soon realised that is not the option for me. Because the base is aluminium it was scolding hot to hold whilst screwing the top to the base. Next brew tried with cold water and all was ok because this was a 1-2 cup model so heating time was acceptable even on minimum gas flame setting. During the extraction time the lid may be lifted to ensure coffee is being extracted otherwise the base could be boiled dry. Make a sacrificial coffee first to seal the internals before use as in instructions. Very good value for money and a well made classic that should be durable due to its tried and tested design.

Good pot
It's a perfectly serviceable mokka pot. We like the traditional design so we're very pleased. We replaced the one we had had for 10years as it had tarnished and the seal had finally given up, the seal on this one is tricky and often falls out. Other than that all good!

Great for a morning cup of coffee
Really good for a cup of coffee - you can use 3 cup size, pour into cup, and add boiling water after to make a full sized coffee. Add some milk if you desire, and there you go!

In general, any surface capable of transmitting heat and bringing the boiler of the coffee maker to a boil can be considered suitable. However, they do advise that they cannot confirm with 100% accuracy without being able to see the design, size, and specs of the specific burner.
(The surface it goes on would need to be level, flat, wide enough, and stable enough for the coffee maker to rest on it safely while it heats. Also, we'd be assuming that it'd not be in direct contact with the smoke and the logs themselves which is not likely to be suitable, i.e. it'd be OK if the burner has hotplate/top onto which you can put items for heating/cooking).

Kindly note that none of our coffee makers are true coffee percolators. They are all moka pots with a filter in which the coffee is placed.
Moka Pot: Uses steam pressure to force hot water through finely-ground coffee, producing a strong, espresso-like brew.
Percolator: Uses a continuous cycle of boiling water passing through medium-ground coffee, resulting in a more traditional drip coffee.
