I bought this parasol yesterday and erected it today. It was easy to do and seems very sturdy. The mechanism is a pulley type which I found easy to operate. My only reservation is that it is made of wood and therefore is not maintenance-free. Time will tell.

The Home 2.7m Water Repellent Garden Parasol in cream does not come ready assembled. It's very straight forward to assemble, simply screw the two poles together and then screw the finial into position.
