EXPENSIVE failure - to much touchy needed!
I bought this on Easter Monday and by Wednesday of the same week the lid catch mechanism is playing up. When you close the lid and take your hand off it invariably pops right back up, for EIGHTY POUNDS for a kitchen rubbish bin bought from ARGOS I was expecting the basic catch function to last more the 2 days!!!!!! This touch bin requires to many touches!

30L Brabantia Touch lid tall bin
30L Tall Touch lid bin. Had the old one for more than 20 years, and it serveds us well. The new one has a design change on the open/close mechanism, which is where the old one failed. Really easy to use and clean. Only downside I think is the initial cost but if you work that our over the years of service life still O.K.

It does but doesnt have a handle like it shows on the add . There is no where to see if this particular model has or what model comes with a handle inner bucket .

The Brabantia 30 Litre Touch Top Bin - Matt Steel, does come with a 10 year guarantee, however only the first 12 months will be dealt with via Argos. To take advantage of the extra 9 years guarantee, you would need to register your item with the manufacturer after purchase and any faults/repairs would need to be dealt with direct with them.
