There are 2 levers on this item which operate 2 slots each.
If you wish to use one slot then you may do so by pushing down one lever and just using one slot although it would operate 2 slots but not the full 4 slots.

I went ahead and bought this anyway it is in fact cream and not beige , so a bit misleading

The manufacturer calls this colour beige. It does look very cream, but they designate it beige.
