Decent mattress - more flimsy than expected
Bought for my son, the mattress was delivered all wrapped up and easy to move which was good. When unpackaged it took its shape after a short time. The mattress is quite springy and the quality isn’t as good as others I’ve purchased from silent night etc (at a similar price) but bought this one due to quick delivery. Overall a decent mattress but would probably spend abit more next time for a better quality one as you can at times feel the springs through it and will all depend on your child and their age and weight.

Springy and loud - would not recommend
I bought this for my young child’s first proper bed. While the mattress is incredibly soft to the touch, you can feel—and hear—every single spring. It’s especially frustrating when trying to soothe him back to sleep, as even the slightest lean on the mattress causes the springs to creak loudly, often waking him up again and undoing all the effort. For the price, it feels like incredibly cheap quality. Disappointing for a child’s bed.

Nice, soft and springy
I bought this for my daughter having already purchased the same mattress for my son a fewbyears ago. This is ideal for her and she loves it, slept right through on the first night with no issues. I would recommend this, more so for younger children, probably to soft for older kids/teens.

The mattress is not defective, your mattress is perfectly fine. While some mattresses are rolled for delivery, others, like certain open coil models, are delivered flat to help protect the internal spring structure. Rolling these types could affect their shape or support. So if yours arrived unrolled, it’s simply due to the design and packaging choice for that specific model, and it’s ready to use or store as needed.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the JAY-BE Open Coil Anti-Allergy Kids Single Mattress: ''The mattresses are stored rolled up so leaving them boxed for long periods of time is not a problem. We do advise on opening to hold the corners and give the mattress a shake to help the mattress expand. Please allow to rest 48 hours before use.''

We have the mattress on an Ikea malm single bed and the fit is fine x although would be too small for the slakt beds

Hello Lynsey. I have checked the size of the Kids beds X Rocker Chromis Single Bed in a Box and this measures L199.5cm X W102cm and the JAY-BE Open Coil Anti-Allergy Kids Single Mattress measures
L190cm X W90cm. The mattress will be 9cm shorter on the Length (4.5cm top and bottom) and 12cm shorter on the width (6cm either side). This size difference would leave room to place bedding on the mattress. Hope this helps.

“ You must only use the mattresses that come with the folding guest beds as these have been safety tested with the frames. If you use any other mattress on the frames it voids the health and safety certificates. ”
