It does have a strainer at the bases of the spout - those little holes that make it very difficult to get the tea leaves out of the pot. Annoying , so returned the item to Argos, Does anyone know where I can buy a teapot that has a clear spout? I cant see the point of those holes - at least for loose-leaf tea.
