Battery can’t be removed. Battery is recharged by panel, then lights are operated by battery.

Can I just ask whether you have checked the on/off switch on the battery housing. If still not working when switched to 'on', then please return to store for an examination if still within the 12 months warranty along with your proof of purchase.

I am sorry for the confusion caused. This product has AA/AAA NI-MH rechargeable battery - the reference to 1XAA battery is incorrect.
